As part of our many successful projects with the US Army Corps of Engineers, Acrefine was proud to contribute to the design and equipment of the Helicopter Apron and Strategic Airlift Apron facilities in Afghanistan. These high-security areas span over 200,000 square meters and support rotary-wing and fixed-wing aircraft operations under extreme environmental and operational conditions.
Acrefine’s solutions were selected due to our proven expertise in providing seismic restraint and vibration isolation systems for military infrastructure. This project was one of many critical operations we’ve supported globally with the US Army Corps, across both active bases and logistics hubs.
Engineering Scope
Our team supplied a robust lineup of:
- Seismic isolators, engineered to limit equipment movement in all directions under dynamic and seismic loading
- Snubbers, designed to resist displacement and absorb impact loads
- Restraint systems for HVAC, MEP, and electrical installations critical to base operations
All components were built to meet the rigorous specifications of the US Army and installed in cooperation with local contractors and site engineers.
Key Features
- Full-range protection against seismic and vibration-induced stress
- Durable finishes for long-term performance in desert environments
- Pre-calculated load ratings and restraint directions per unit
- Field-proven success in military-grade projects
Applications
Acrefine’s vibration isolators and restraint systems are well-suited for:
- Power and utility modules at airfields
- Engine, generator, and HVAC support systems
- Mechanical rooms with mobile or sensitive equipment
- Military-grade machine mounts requiring strict vibration control
These vibration isolation systems are tested to perform reliably in extreme temperatures, frequent equipment starts and stops, and high-frequency operations—making them ideal for remote bases and mission-critical defense infrastructure.
With many successful deployments completed under the US Army Corps of Engineers, Acrefine continues to serve as a trusted partner in defense infrastructure — delivering engineered stability where it matters most. Our systems are not only designed to perform under stress but also proven to extend equipment life and reduce long-term maintenance costs.
