This project consists of a medical office building, ambulatory care center, and an adjacent parking facility. The medical center will contain a new free-standing, four story building with a total gross area of 12,170 sqm with a connector canopy brought to the face of the parking garage. The 15,886 sqm parking garage will be designed and constructed as a four-level parking facility and will ultimately accommodate 655 spaces. Kaiser Permanente South Baltimore Medical Center is one of three new Kaiser ambulatory care centers under construction in the Washington state. Altogether, Kaiser plans to spend nearly 500 million USD on new ambulatory care centers in the Baltimore-Washington region.
Acrefine Engineering supplied complete seismic and vibration isolation products for mechanical and electrical equipment. Some of the applications included air-cooled VSD screw type chillers that were mounted on ASI-T1 and ASI-T2 type seismic isolators with 2″ spring deflection. ASI-R type seismic rubber isolators were used to secure the split system condensing units. These isolators were also used to mount steam humidifiers. Pumps were installed on ASI-S type seismic isolators using inertia bases. Fan coil units were hanged with AH-R type isolation hangers and braced with steel wire ropes.
